Alan Haynes
Alan Haynes joined the Career and Professional Development Center in September 2008 following three years as Associate Director of Career Services and Diversity Outreach Advisor at Brooklyn Law School. He also served as associate counsel for New York State United Teachers for three years and as an assistant district attorney with the New York County District Attorney's Office for five years. Prior to law school he taught American and world history, American government, public speaking, and debate at public schools in San Antonio, Texas. He received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, and his M.A. in education and B.A. in political science from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Susan Gainen
Susan came to the CPDC in 1992 after nearly seven years as a Legal Recruiter in Baltimore and Washington DC, a year of law practice in Maryland, and ten years in sales in the food business and the car business in California. She has been an active member of the National Association for Law Placement, Minnesota Women Lawyers, and the Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations, and remains licensed to practice in Maryland. She is now a confirmed Minnesotan, having won several blue ribbons for miniature needlepoint rugs at the Minnesota State Fair. She also earned the blue ribbon for Cherry Porter Barbecue Sauce in 2004.

Vic Massaglia
Vic joined the CPDC in August 2005. He previously was an Associate Director of Learning and Development, Center for Business Excellence, at the University of Saint Thomas (UST) College of Business. Vic has over 20 years of experience in coaching, training, and communication. He also was a career counselor for UST Graduate Business Career Services. He served for the United States Air Force for nine and a half years as a personnel administrator. Vic holds a degree in English education from the University of Minnesota – Mankato as well as a master’s degree in human resource development from the University of Saint Thomas.
