The new I-35W bridge opened for traffic on Sept. 18, 2008.

Driving Directions:

From the South:

• Take I-35W north to 3rd St. exit (exit 17C) toward the U of M West Bank
• Turn right onto Washington Ave. S.
• Take immediate left at next stoplight to follow Washington Ave. (15th Ave. S. goes to right)
• Go one block to Mondale Hall, at intersection with 19th Ave. S.

From the North:

• Take I-35W south to Washington Ave. exit (exit 17C)
• Turn left onto Washington Ave. S.
• Turn left again onto Washington Ave. S.
• Turn left onto 19th Ave. S. and proceed to Mondale Hall, 229 19th Ave S.

From the East:

• Take I-94 west to Riverside Ave. exit (exit 235A)
• Take slight right onto Riverside Ave.
• Turn right onto 19th Ave. S. and proceed to Mondale Hall, 229 19th Ave S.

From the West:

• Take I-394 east toward Minneapolis
• Merge onto I-94 going east via exit 8
• Merge onto I-35W going north via exit 233C on left
• Follow 35W north to 3rd St. exit (exit 17C) toward the U of M West Bank
• Turn right onto Washington Ave. S.
• Take immediate left at next stoplight to follow Washington Ave. (15th Ave. S. goes to right)
• Go one block to Mondale Hall, at intersection with 19th Ave. S.

Parking

Parking for events at Mondale Hall is available at a variety of locations on the U. of M. West Bank campus:

• Surface Lot C86, north of Mondale Hall; entrance on 2nd St. S.
• The Seven Corners Ramp across the street (west) at 1504 Washington Ave. S. (labeled "Holiday Inn Ramp" on some maps, including this one)
• 19th Ave. Ramp; from Mondale Hall, cross 19th Ave. S. to Washington Ave. S., turn left on Cedar Ave. S., turn left on 3rd. St. S. to entrance
• 21st Ave. Ramp; from Mondale Hall, go south (left) on 19th Ave., turn left on 4th St. S., turn right on 20th Ave. S. to entrance
